Discover the Erasmus+ internship with the mobile Elsa line boring machines: a bridge between school and industry, as shown by the example of the Spanish school IES García Barbón.
Elsa and the Erasmus+ Program
The ERASMUS+ program has always stood for growth, cultural exchange, and the overcoming of geographical boundaries. When one thinks of this European initiative, students immediately come to mind, but there is an equally important and strategic aspect: the training of educators.
In today’s industrial environment, competitiveness increasingly depends on the ability to establish an effective dialogue between the education system and industry. It was precisely in this context that our company welcomed Professor Xosé Manuel Bolaño Pérez, a lecturer at the Spanish educational institution IES García Barbón, on Wednesday, May 27.
The visit was not limited to a simple factory tour but evolved into an intensive technical training session aimed at deepening understanding of the use and potential of the Supercombinata mobile drilling rigs. The goal was to impart specialized knowledge that the instructor will, in turn, pass on to his students, thereby helping to bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical application in industry.
A concrete example of international cooperation that confirms the value of ERASMUS+ as a tool that not only promotes mobility and cultural exchange, but also the dissemination of advanced technical skills and innovations in vocational education and training.
The Strategic Importance of Training Instructors
Thanks to the workshop training provided by our technical specialist, Professor Xosé Manuel Bolaño Pérez has deepened his practical knowledge of our Supercombinata line boring machines—portable machine tools designed to ensure precision and reliability directly on-site.
Upon his return to Spain, the teacher at “IES García Barbón” will be able to pass on the skills he has acquired to his students, thereby introducing them to the technologies and methods used daily in the industrial sector.
The students at this Spanish school thus have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with real-world processes and current technologies, which drastically narrows the gap between academic education and the working world. They are the skilled workers of tomorrow and are receiving an increasingly practice-oriented education that meets the demands of the job market.
The Day’s Schedule: A Balance of Theory and Hands-On Training in the Workshop
The day began with a theoretical overview of the features of our machines, the work processes, and the main areas of application.
This was followed by on-site training. The instructor participated in a hands-on training session on the use of the “Supercombinata” mobile line boring machine, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of the work processes and maintenance procedures on site under the guidance of our technician.
At the conclusion of the course, management presented a certificate of participation confirming the skills acquired and attesting to the commitment of the IES García Barbón Training Center to promoting technical education that is increasingly international and focused on industrial innovation.
The Synergy Between Schools and Business as a Driving Force for European Development
Our experience with the Spanish educational institution confirms one fact: cooperation between schools and business is the only real driving force capable of advancing technological innovation. Companies need specialized, up-to-date professionals, and schools rely on support from the private sector to gain access to the latest technologies.
Thanks to a well-established organization and highly qualified staff, Elsa is ready to implement international mobility programs, internships, and professional development courses for teachers and educational institutions.
For us, investing in training and teaching technical skills in the use of portable drills means contributing to the development of the next generation of skilled workers and to the future of the industry.
Synergies at the Highest Level: Elsa Training for Technical Schools
The success of this event demonstrates that technical excellence and innovation know no geographical boundaries. For Elsa, the exchange of expertise represents a concrete investment in the future of precision engineering. Our collaboration with the “IES García Barbón” Institute serves as a model that we hope to expand to many other educational institutions, both in Italy and abroad.
If you would like to develop a training project in collaboration with Elsa, our team will be happy to assist you in exploring partnership opportunities and customized programs, and to provide you with direct insight into the technologies and applications specific to on-site maintenance and machining.
